Installing a PHP web application is easier than most people expect. With cPanel hosting it takes around 15 minutes. ATN Solutions products come with a web installer, and we also install them for free on request.
Before you start
- A hosting account with PHP and MySQL (see hosting recommendations)
- A domain pointing to your hosting
- The script's ZIP file
Step 1: Upload the files
- Log in to cPanel and open File Manager.
- Go to
public_html(or the folder for your subdomain). - Click Upload and select the ZIP file.
- Right-click the uploaded ZIP and choose Extract.
Step 2: Create the MySQL database
- In cPanel open MySQL Databases.
- Create a new database and a new user with a strong password.
- Add the user to the database with All Privileges.
- Write down the database name, username and password.
Step 3: Run the web installer
Open your domain in the browser. The installer asks for the database details, the site name and the administrator account. Follow the steps until you see the confirmation screen.
Step 4: Secure the installation
- Delete the installer folder or file if the instructions say so.
- Use a long, unique admin password.
- Enable HTTPS (free SSL in cPanel under SSL/TLS Status).
- Set up regular backups.
Common problems
| Problem | Fix |

| Blank page | Check the PHP version in cPanel (MultiPHP Manager) and the error log. |
| Cannot connect to database | Verify the user is added to the database and that the cPanel prefix is used in names. |
| Images do not upload | Check folder permissions (755 for folders, 644 for files, or the writable folders listed in the manual). |
